Our ethics

Our hotel was born from Le Relais Madagascar's initiative and is actively committed to protecting the environnment and developping a local socio-economic activity.

A few of our sustainable actions

LOCAL FOOD

We grow vegetables and fruits in our garden and offer a restaurant menu based on regional and seasonal products only.

Environment-friendly products

We select organic toiletries.
We use environment-friendly or natural cleaning products.

Water savings

We handwash all our laundry and encourage our guests' eco-mindfulness (no automatic renewal of towels and bedsheets).

energy savings

We chose low-consumption appliances (even in our kitchen), light the building with leds and leave the laundry out to dry in our back garden.

Decorating & landscaping

We decorated the hotel and its surroundings with local sustainable material : doors and furniture in replanted wood, natural paint, recycled isolation...
Our parc is also home to a nursery dedicated to regional species' survival and reforestation.

waste management

We sort and recycle our waste.

Our socio-economic committment

sustainable jobs for local communities

Our employees are mostly recruited amongst the local population. There's no undeclared work, we try to reduce seasonal hires and we give a fair and equal pay.

committment to our employees and their families

We take care of our employees' professional and personnal development :
- Training, coaching and continuing education
- Health insurance
- Solidarity fun for their families
- Etra-professional activities

eco-mindfullness

We work with the local community around the hotel hoping to gradually raise awareness on the importance of protecting our natural ecosystem.

Business transparency

Our hotel is committed to a clean and clear taxation management and to rejecting any form of corruption.

Le Relais is a network of companies that has been working at fighting social exclusion by creating sustainable jobs for more than 30 years.
As member of Emmaus France, it bases its action on the belief that the return to employment of people in difficulty is a way to help them preserve their dignity and find a place in society. To this purpose, Le Relais has developed several economic activities which have allowed to create more than 3,000 jobs to date, almost 500 in Madgascar.
